Lisa Mendenhall Obituary
El Dorado - Lisa Gale Mendenhall, 63, went home to be with her Savior on Monday, April 13, 2026. She was born on July 30, 1962, in El Dorado, Arkansas, and was a student of Smackover Norphlet Schools. In 2014, Lisa attended Charis Bible College in Woodland Park, Colorado.
On September 26, 1980, Lisa married the love of her life, Chris Mendenhall. She was a loving mother to her four children and found joy in being "Grandma" to her ten grandchildren.
Lisa lived a life marked by service, compassion, and joy. From working in her family's store as a teenager to faithfully serving in the churches she called home, she poured herself into everything she did. Whether cleaning, teaching, leading morning prayer, in the office, or working with children, Lisa served with a willing heart.
Lisa treasured her role as a wife and mother. She was a constant presence at games and band competitions, known for her enthusiastic cheering for the Smackover Buckaroos. She was known as "Momma Lisa" and many fondly remember her worshipping or praying as she drove them to their destinations.
Lisa's faith in Jesus was the foundation of her life. She constantly invited others to experience the gift of salvation through Jesus. She loved teaching the Bible, and she found joy in crafting, painting, & drawing. She enjoyed fishing and cooking. Lisa was especially passionate about Operation Christmas Child, a mission she shared alongside Chris.
Lisa was preceded in death by her mother, Pearla (Williams) Womack; son, Scott Mendenhall; daughter, Amy Mendenhall; and grandchildren, Alina Mendenhall and Grady Tomlinson.
Those left to cherish her memory include her husband, Chris Mendenhall; father, Jerry Womack; daughters, Anne Givens (Danny) and Leta Ketchum (Adam); son, Matthew Mendenhall (Brooke); and daughter-in-love, Robyn Mendenhall.
